Antique chromo lithograph of the Agave, Saffran crocus and Iris, 1914
This beautiful plate originates from the German book "Kräuterbuch. Unsere Heilpflanzen in Wort und Bild" from 1914 that used to be part of the library collection of an old convent in the Netherlands. The book, printed in old German, contains practical information about medicinal botanical herbs and plants.
This fine 110 year old plate is in excellent condition and has 5 illustrations of the Agave (Agave americana L.), Saffran crocus (Crocus sativus L.) and German bearded iris (Iris germanica L.).
The print comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with a sand coloured top layer. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
