Beautifully coloured chromo-lithographic plate from 1895 with 21 detailed illustrations of monocotyledonous plants, gymnosperms, spores (cryptogamen) and fungi. This plate originates from 'Wagner's Natuurlijk Historie', a book about natural history which was originally written by the German biologist Herman Wagner and translated into Dutch by D. Horn.
This exquisite 129-year-old plate is in excellent condition and comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with a sage green coloured top layer. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
