Vintage coloured plate of Passerine birds

Very fine coloured plate, with lots of detail of Passerine birds including the Great Tit (Parus major), Eurasian Blue Tit (Cyanistes Caeruleus), European crested tit (Lophophanes cristatus) and Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla). This plate originates from the book 'Zangvogels' (Songbirds, oscines), from 1957 and is based on a watercolour illustration by Baumberger and Linsenmaier. 

While the print is not antique, its stunning detail and use of colour makes it a gem for your wall.

This 65-year old plate is in excellent condition and comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with a steel-blue coloured top layer. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
