Vintage coloured plate of 5 red-coloured birds
Very fine coloured plate with lots of detail of the Common rosefinch (Erythrina erythrina), Eurasian bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula), Pine grosbeak (Pinicola enucleator), Parrot crossbill (Loxia pytyopsittacus) and the Two-barred crossbill (Loxia leucoptera). This plate originates from the book 'Zangvogels' (Songbirds, oscines), from 1957 and is based on a watercolour illustration by Baumberger and Linsenmaier.
While the print is not antique, its stunning detail and use of colour makes it a gem for your wall.
This 65-year old plate is in excellent condition and comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with a white top layer with a subtle texture. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
The image you see is a photograph of the actual item.
