Vintage coloured plate of Sparrow birds

Very fine coloured plate, with lots of detail of the Rock sparrow (Passer montanus), Eurasion tree sparrow (Petronia petronia), House sparrow (Passer domesticus) and Russet sparrow (Passer cinnamomeus). This plate originates from the book 'Zangvogels' (Songbirds, oscines), from 1957 and is based on a watercolour illustration by Baumberger and Linsenmaier. 

While the print is not antique, its stunning detail and use of colour makes it a gem for your wall.

This 65-year old plate is in excellent condition and comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with a sand coloured top layer. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
