This fascinating chromolithographic plate is completely filled with colourful detailed illustrations of beneficial insects (insectes utiles) and harmful insects (insectes nuisibles). The plate originates from an antique French encyclopedia called 'Larousse Universel en 2 Volumes' from 1922. 

 

This 102-year old plate comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with a sand coloured top layer. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
